  7.     A hailstorm this month nearly ruined the peaches on her
  8. family farm in South Carolina, but that didn't dent Dori
  9. Sanders' good spirits. A newly published author, she's enjoying
  10. the fruits of success. Disney has optioned Clover, her tale of
  11. a 10-year-old girl in today's South. From sunup to sundown,
  12. Sanders, 55, still works the land because "once the dirt gets
  13. under your fingernails, you can't give it up." And when she's
  14. in the orchard and gets an idea for her next book, she jots it
  15. down on whatever's handy -- a scrap of paper or even the side
  16. of a peach basket.
